A long haul return flight produces 10 tonnes or more of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere per passenger!
What is the solution?
Can we stop traveling when the world in a sense has become smaller and the reasons to travel include family, friends and work? There is no one single solution that can solve this challenge.
However, I do believe that every small positive act can help to re-balance our atmosphere such as recycling, reducing the use of one's car if public transport is so readily available, stop supporting budget airlines etc
Perhaps the idea of teleportation (which is an integrated ascended master ability!) is the way to go. This brings us back to the work that we must do - developing and refining our consciousness.

Every thought trigger our lower emotions & our hormones are released into our bodily system & our breath is release into the environment.
Airplanes are the creation of our state of consciousness. What you mentioned is true. Developing & refining our consciousness.
We have invested almost all of our lower emotions in images of the outer world in the form of winning & losing. Examples: supporting a football club or basketball team or american idol. Most of our lower emotions are stagnant together with an image that in order to let it flow so as to feel better, we unconsciously resort to winning & losing mindset.
You mentioned teleportation. We who are supressive emotionally always need transportation.
.....Is it true that if i were to refine & develop my consciousness, i will be able to teleport free of charge?
